History of Friends of Arrow Rock Teacher Workshop
Since 2002, the Friends of Arrow Rock have conducted eight workshops for elementary and secondary teachers promoting the educational resources to be found in Arrow Rock. Usually held the last Thursday in May, we have averaged 65 in attendance. For a registration fee of $40 each, they usually hear two speakers and have guided tours of exhibits, demonstrations, and/or historic buildings devoted to a topic which falls under the general umbrella of Westward Expansion. This fee includes morning refreshments, a packet of information, and the fried chicken dinner at the Arrow Rock Tavern. Past topics have included:
